Song of the Month

This month's featured song is Call It Life from Rich Follett’s 2016 album Somewhere in the Stars.

Poem of the Month

cheers

in shenandoah just-spring,

cynics go into hiding

(what purpose do they serve

in the presence of such splendor?)

there are, of course, challenges endemic to

the arrival of the season:

allergens, emerging insects,

ever-present bluster, and the raucous trill of

amphibious ardor (erasing any hope of sleep);

still, even career curmudgeons

will (when pressed) warily acknowledge

the universal appeal of

jaunty cliques of jonquils

gathered to discuss events of the day

against the backdrop of

a piled stone wall that only days before

formed a weary gray bracket

along a winter country lane
